Back to Cusco

After Machu Picchu, we headed back to Cusco for a couple days. We had a few friends there and wanted some chill days considering how busy we’ve been. 

Also, it was the festival of the sun, called Inti Raymi. It’s on the 24th of June and is Cusco’s biggest day of the year. We celebrated with locals as well as many hostel friends in a park on top of the city. It was a lovely afternoon, all in all. For anyone going soon, I’d recommend Wild Rover hostels. They have everything you’d need in a hostel. We’re in the La Paz one now, and they have BOTH hot water and high pressure showers!!! We’ve basically won the lottery here. 

Anyway! Cusco is a beautiful place, with a distinct atmosphere with its cobblestone roads and chilled vibe. Don’t pass by just to get to Machu Picchu. We both loved it.
